This Ordinance, which amended the Punjab Local Government Ordinance, 1979 (VI of 1979), was promulgated by the Governor of the Punjab on 20^th August, 1979; and, published in the Punjab Gazette (Extraordinary), dated 21^st August, 1979, pages 1295-A to 1295-B.
